This surface design project for an international high end fashion brand YANE MODE aims to create artworks inspired by the vintage elements in the city. The layering color palette and texture is inspired by the faded texture from the old building captures the most signature elements as the visual message with strong color impact that are fading out slowly from the cities. A simple activist palette of Vintage is layered over washed Cement and Matte Black, with a highlight of Cinnamon. The designer pieces are contemporary and timeless, whimsical but sophisticated. The beauty of the patterns are a combination of manufactured and artificial materials altered by time and neglected by people.
Using collage paint with mixed medium in an abstract style is Yan’s favorite way to presents her taste of simply luxury for fashion. Yan’s vision is to call for public attention to disappearing cultures in a specific time and space by creating timeless aesthetics artworks in a designer aesthetic view.
