DESIGN DIRECTION . SUSTAINABLE WOOD CLUTCH

Design Direction for a Wood Clutch collection is part of the sustainable development with vintage touch in style. The wood Clutch is made by mango trees which are fast-growing and sustainable for reproduce, shape are pretty standard to avoid extra wastage of the raw material. Yan selected the material for the wood clutch collection for a UK major retailer brand TopShop for it’s very first time. Clutch was out of stock the first week in store. This is also a standard that a classy clutch not necessary to be leather. It can be luxury, contemporary and sustainable.

YAN FONG is an artist and fashion designer who studied fashion and art at (POLYU)HK and (FIT)NYC. YAN specializes in design direction and art development. Her contribution on fashion supporting animal welfare and enhance the global awareness to eco friendly environment. Her vision for art and design is to call for public attention to disappearing cultures in a specific time and space by creating timeless art piece from a designer aesthetic view in a vintage yet contemporary style.
